olympic college adds two new certificate programs

February 19, 2010 - The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) certificate was designed so that OC students earning this certificate will be able to transfer to either the Tacoma Community College or the Peninsula College paramedic programs. Those earning the EMS certificate can also enter into careers as an Emergency Medical Technician working in fire service, with a private ambulance company or as an emergency room technician. Classes start spring quarter and Dana Normandy is the advisor for the program (his contact information is on the flier).

The Leadership and the Non-Profit Organization certificate is part of the Organization Leadership Resource Management program and was developed by Jeff Yergler, the program advisor. It includes 6 new courses, designed to provide professional development for those working at non-profit organizations. Classes are to begin summer quarter.
