April 23, 2007 - Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) leads the state with the fewest errors for data entry among community mental health providers. Of 181,000 data entry errors statewide since July 2005, KMHS has an error rate of .09%, and, for the current period, KMHS had only 2 unresolved errors among 29,000 errors for a remarkably low rate of .01%.

KMHS contracts with the Peninsula Regional Support Network (PRSN) to provide computer support for the PRSN’s entire service area. Located in Kitsap County, the PRSN oversees delivery of mental health services by providers in Clallam, Jefferson and Kitsap Counties.

Kitsap Mental Health Services serves approximately 5000 individuals and is the primary provider of mental health services for Kitsap County. The agency offers a continuum of care to children, adults and older adults, and their families. Access to most KMHS services is dependent on Medicaid eligibility or eligibility for other state funding. Emergency services are available to all regardless of income.
