Kitsap County Community Development Corporation is helping to finance Amy’s Decadent Chocolate first with the purchase of a chocolate handcoater that will increase production.   It will arrive shortly with other improvements to follow.  This loan and a line of credit from US Bank are funding Amy’s business expansion.

Amy’s first months in business have been busier than anticipated.  As people discover Amy’s Decadent Chocolate at Kitsap Way and Wycoff Avenue in Bremerton, word of mouth have almost doubled its sales.   Being able to train one of two newly hired persons to operate the handcoater will help owner Amy Jablonski to meet the demand.  Recently, Ms. Jablonski brought her chocolates to an afternoon performance by the Bremerton Symphony to the delight of many of the 900 attendees.  Once people sample the rich chocolate they realize this is a high quality product.

Kitsap County CDC manages a revolving loan fund that provides gap financing and microloans to small business owners who will create jobs in Kitsap County.

Amy has now hired two part time helpers and will eventually have a full time assistant.
