Last year we reported that Central Kitsap ranked 572 in the nation's top 1000 schools for AP placement. This year Silverdale High School was named top in the state for AP math and science programs.
The award is granted yearly by the Siemens Foundation to one high school in each state. This award is especially noteworthy as math and science are two subjects American students have struggled with in recent years.
Central Kitsap High continues to score significantly higher than the state average on WASL scores as well. Over 62% of CK students passed in Math and just over 48% in science compared to the state average of approximately 48% (math) and 35% (science).
