From quiet mornings spent kayaking bays and inlets or hiking the miles of trails, to leisurely afternoons hitting the links. From solitary pursuits to family adventures or sporting events, Kitsap County’s recreational choices are limitless.
Over 100 parks can be found in Kitsap, from neighborhood playgrounds to RV parks, from public boat launches to state forest preserves. The county’s miles of shoreline provide water sport enthusiasts with ample opportunities for boating, fishing, and kayaking.
Kitsap is also home to some of the most challenging golf courses in the country, set amidst beautiful Pacific Northwest greenery. Three courses are listed in the Puget Sound Business Journal's top 25 most difficult in Washington State. Bermerton's Gold Mountain Golf Complex is one of the top public golf courses in the country and host of the 2006 USGA Public Links Championship.
