The 36th Annual Meeting of the Kitsap Economic Development Alliance draws record crowd!
|KEDA Board Chair Ben Anderson, CEO of Art Anderson Associates Naval Architects, welcomed nearly 2oo business and community leaders to hear Congressman Kilmer speak to the intersection of KC & DC, and the dynamics of The 115th Congress.
Executive Director, John Powers and Business Development Director reviewed the KEDA 2016 Annual Report and two new members were elected to KEDA’s Board of Directors: Lynette Ladenburg, CEO of Martha & Mary; and, Kathryn Townsend, Client Relations Manager at West Sound Workforce. John Powers also presented KEDA’s 2017 Action Plan
Chairman Anderson also led a leadership team of current and past officers of KEDA (Ben Anderson, Monica Blackwood, Nathan Evans, Steve Politakis, Julie Tappero and Elliot Gregg) in launching a new development campaign aimed at expanded KEDA’s client based economic development services – Campaign for Kitsap – Inspired Economic Development.
As part of the launch of Campaign for Kitsap, KEDA and Sustainable Media Group have produced a video and campaign booklet which are available at campaign4kitsap.com to promote the campaign’s purpose – to double the number of investor partners in the Alliance, and the number of business served each year. Over the past five years KEDA has assisted over 600 local businesses impacting over 30,000 jobs and resulting in $225M in new business revenues and over $2B in new capital invested in Kitsap’s economy.
